A local Milton business is making a difference—one donut at a time. Maverick’s Donut Company has partnered withThe Darling Home for Kids for a special fundraiser supporting children with complex medical needs.
From March 4 to 9, customers can purchase a limited-edition six-pack of donuts, featuring a variety of flavors, with proceeds benefiting the children and families at The Darling Home for Kids. For zombie lovers, a special zombie-themed donut box is available for pre-order by calling Maverick’s at 905-203-0544.
The fundraiser was inspired by Josh, a child receiving respite care at The Darling Home for Kids, who had the chance to decorate donuts with his brother, Chris, at Maverick’s Milton location. His love of zombies sparked the idea for the unique donut box, turning his creativity into a community-wide initiative.
“This is more than just a donut—it’s a way to make a difference,” said Marco Lopes, Development Officer at The Darling Home for Kids. “By treating yourself, you’re also helping children with medical complexities receive compassionate care.”
Located in Campbellville, The Darling Home for Kids provides specialized residential, respite, and hospice palliative care for children with life-limiting illnesses, giving their families much-needed time to rest and recharge.

Behind the scenes in the Maverick’s Donut Company kitchen, Josh and Chris work on their delicious creations with the support of the Maverick’s team.
Milton residents are encouraged to stop by Maverick’s Donuts at 850 Main St E, Unit 6, grab a six-pack, and enjoy a sweet treat while supporting an essential local cause.
