At the beginning of November, the Town of Orangeville launched a Respect You Rec campaign in order to encourage respect toward Town facilities and programs. Sharon Doherty-Gaudin Manager, Recreation & Events with the Town of Orangeville, explains the launch:
While the campaign has gone well, it seems that some people unfortunately have not received the message. Orangeville Mayor Lisa Post says the Town is still experiencing damage and disrespectful behavior at some of its events and facilities. She says while the Respect Your Rec campaign is a month-long initiative, demonstrating respect at Town events is an ongoing effort.
