The Milton Menace are getting ready for a big road game against a familiar foe.
On Wednesday, October 23rd, the Menace will drive down the road to take on the Georgetown Raiders. Milton won three of their four match-ups with the Raiders last season.
This could be the first time fans get a chance to see forward Spencer Vandenberg, who was acquired by the Menace just a few days ago in exchange for defenceman Luke Hampel. Vandenberg has played 13 games this season for the King Rebellion, scoring 3 goals and 7 assists. On the other side, Hampel has been a very productive defenceman for Milton, but with Alessandro Petreccia returning to the team, he was likely to see a decrease in playtime.
Looking at the season so far, the Menace have been struggling as of late with some of the tougher teams in the league. They’re sitting in 7th in the OJHL West Conference, with a record of 8-7-0-0 through 15 games, giving them 16 points on the season. Leading the way is Gabriel Ciarallo with 10 goals and 11 assists through all 15 games played.
As for the Raiders, they’ve had a similar season. Through 16 games, the team is 6-6-2-2 for 16 points. Their leading scorer is former Menace forward Jayden Levesque, with 4 goals and 11 assists in all 16 games played.
Both teams are set to play on Wednesday, October 23rd at 7:30 p.m. at the Mold Masters Sportsplex.
The next home game for the Menace is on Friday, October 25th. They take on the Burlington Cougars. Buy your tickets for any/all home games here.
