The Town of Erin has announced the reopening of Sideroad 17.
After navigating unforeseen obstacles, a newly constructed bridge near the intersection of the 8th Line is now complete.
Due to public safety concerns, the original culvert required replacement, and subsequent environmental reports determined that a bridge was needed in its place.
“The transition from culvert to bridge not only enhances safety but also positions us to adapt to future challenges, such as increased water flows due to climate change and increased traffic as the community grows,” said Erin Mayor Michael Dehn.
“This is a significant step forward for our town’s infrastructure.”
Acknowledging the frustration experienced by residents, staff, and Council due to construction delays, the Town of Erin extends heartfelt gratitude to residents for their patience and understanding throughout this challenging period.
