Nominations are open for the 2023 Town of Orangeville Accessibility Champion Awards!
The awards recognize individuals, local businesses, or a community group who has demonstrated a passion for making the community more accessible by continually going above and beyond to achieve this goal.
“Creating an accessible community takes numerous people to actively work towards implementing changes that are more inclusive for everyone,” said Councillor Rick Stevens, Chair of the Access Orangeville Committee.
“We are pleased to highlight the continued effort of those who go the extra mile to put ideas into action that benefit our community.”
Nominations must be submitted by no later than 4 p.m. on May 19th by email at accessibility@orangeville.ca.
The following information must be included in the nomination:
- The name of the individual, business, or community group nominated.
- The reason for the nomination, including what they have done to make our community more accessible for all.
- Include the name, address, and phone number of the nominee.
- Nominees must be a resident or business in Dufferin County.
- The name and contact information, including the phone number, of the person submitting the nomination.
Award recipients will be announced during Accessibility Week, observed from May 28th to June 3rd.
