During the month of April,
Orangeville Midas set its sights on completing an Act of Kindness with Project Spark.
Project Spark helps hard-working individuals, by providing reliable transportation, a gateway can be opened to better jobs and a better quality of life.
Midas Franchisee Hamza Aziz owns Midas in Orangeville, and noticed one of his regulars looked stressed—Out of concern, he pressed her for an explanation.
She was concerned about a student she knew who needed some help.
Ethan Allen Betts works full-time as a mold assembler and for the past year and half, he’s been commuting to work by foot.
Ethan found a 2006 Ford Focus and after hearing his story, Hamza repaired the vehicle through the Midas PROJECT SPARK initiative.
Ethan received the fully renovated Ford Focus with all the labor and parts donated, and repaired and restored by Midas of Orangeville.
“I was in those shoes when I was young,” Hamza said.
“I’m in a position to help—I want to be part of his success story.”
