A married couple from Ballinafad have won the lottery!
Mark Reich and Tanya Eimantas matched the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in exact order in the November 22nd LOTTO MAX draw to win $100,000!
The couple plays every week, using significant dates to pick their numbers, but this is the couple’s first big win.
Tanya had just got out of a Zoom meeting when Mark shared some big news with her.
“I made sure she was sitting down when I told her,” says Mark. Tanya had to reschedule her next meeting due to the shock.
“We never used to say ‘if’ we win the lottery, it was always ‘when’ we win,” says Tanya. “I’ve never seen a cheque this big with my name on it!”
The pair plan to take a trip and put the rest of their winnings in the bank.
The winning ticket was purchased at the Ballinafad Farm Market on Trafalgar Road in Ballinafad.
