Shelburne – Mansfield – Northern Dufferin County
Travel is expected to become dangerous and is not advised, beginning Friday morning.
Precipitation may begin as rain or snow late this afternoon, before transitioning to rain in many areas tonight.
Temperatures are expected to drop significantly by Friday morning leading to potential flash freezing for locations that receive rainfall.
Rapidly falling temperatures will be accompanied by strong and damaging winds (90 – 100 km/h) along with heavy snow.
Blizzard conditions are expected to develop Friday morning.
Snowfall amounts of 25 to 50 cm by Sunday morning.
Blowing snow can cause visibility and whiteout conditions, motorists are advised to drive with care.
