Rotary Club of Orangeville Highlands have announced the recipients of this year’s Rotary Community Choice Grants.
The top three were selected by 3,165 community members who voted online for their favourite non-profits between March 17th-24th.
The final two were chosen by the Rotary Grants Committee, with a view to supporting smaller and less-well-known non-profits serving Orangeville.
Each of the following organizations will receive a $1000 Rotary Community Choice Grant:
1. Diabetes Canada – D-Camp (693 votes) – Summer camp programs for children and youth with type 1 diabetes, to benefit young people from Orangeville. diabetes.ca/d-camps
2. The Josh Project Foundation (613 votes) – Mission to ensure that all youth grow to be successful adults by serving any youth in need of support. thejoshproject.com
3. Achill Choral Society (549 votes) – An inclusive community choir, united by the joy of singing. In its 40th season as a premier choral group based in Orangeville. www.achill.ca
4. Dufferin County Multicultural Foundation – A new foundation created to break barriers, build community, and foster diversity, inclusion, equity and equality. dcmulticulturalfou.wixsite.com/dcmulticulturalfdn
5. Branching Out Support Services – Flagship day services program that supports adults with neuro diversities in downtown Orangeville. branchingoutsupportservices.ca
