Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health has declared a COVID-19 outbreak at Princess Elizabeth Public School in Orangeville.
In a release, principal, Paul Huddleston says one positive case at the school prompted the closing of three classrooms, who have been told to self-isolate.
Public Health says for students and staff who are not a part of the cohort connected to the outbreak, there is currently no additional risk beyond the general community risk of COVID-19.
There are 15 active cases in Dufferin County and 2 novel cases.
Today, the province reported 538 new cases.
