All things considered, Dufferin County’s economy isn’t doing too badly, according to the Workplace Planning Board of Waterloo Wellington Dufferin.
Executive Director Charlene Hofbauer says the unemployment rate in Dufferin is about 8.8% which is lower than the urban areas of the Region.
However, smaller businesses might be hanging on by a thread.
Loosening of provincial restrictions have helped larger businesses such as manufacturers, according to Hofbauer.
