Two local docs were awarded the Dr. David Scott Award by Headwaters Health Care Centre.
The award recognizes individuals who improve overall health and wellness in Dufferin-Caledon and promote linkages between the hospital and the community.
Dr. Michael Gagnon is a family physician with a practice in Bolton and is being recognized as his contributions to local palliative care and was one of the first health care workers to help out at the hospital’s drive-through COVID-19 assessment centre.
Dr. Charlie Joyce moved to Orangeville in 2014 to complete his final year of medical training. He became a family physician one year later.
He also provides palliative care and is being credited with ensuring the COVID-19 assessment centre ran smoothly.
