Someone lost their life on Highway 10 in Caledon this morning.
Highway 10 between King Street and Old Base Line Road between Kennedy and McLaughlin roads was closed since early this morning and at 4:43 pm, OPP announced it reopened.
Caledon OPP constable Iryna Nebogatova says charges haven’t been laid and police continue to seek witnesses to the collision and they’re also asking witnesses to check their dash cameras for footage of the crash.
Police have not identified the deceased but say they were a 50-year-old Caledon resident.
myFM News has learned the casualty is a woman.
And GO Transit is advising one of its routes will be impacted as a result of the collision.
GO Transit also announced a detour to Route 37 in which passengers were advised bus stops on Hurontario Street between Traveled Road and Boston Mills Road were not serviced.
At about 5 pm, GO Transit said the detour and interruptions are over.
Passengers are asked to use the stop at Hurontario Street at Charleston Side Road or King Street until further notice.
