A former Caledon elementary school teacher is facing sex assault charges against a minor.
Last Thursday (May 14), Caledon OPP, with the help of Quinte West OPP, arrested 71-year-old Wayne Hepburn of Prince Edward County following a historical sexual assault investigation.
Police allege the incidents happened sometime between September 2014 and June 2015, while Hepburn was teaching at Creditview Public School in Caledon.
Hepburn is charged with sexual interference and sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age under the Criminal Code of Canada and is set to appear in Orangeville court in July.
Caledon OPP encourages anyone with additional information regarding this investigation or who believes they were a victim of a similar circumstance, to contact police.
