Orangeville manufacturer, Pinehurst Group Inc. has filed for bankruptcy.
Co-founder of licenced insolvency trustee, Hoyes, Michalos & Associates, Ted Michalos, told the Banner that Pinehurst Group Inc. filed for bankruptcy with the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy Canada on May 14th.
On Wednesday morning, myFM News visited the 120 C Line warehouse, whose parking lot contained only 3 vehicles, and spoke to three individuals on site.
Declining to disclose his identity but stating he works for Pinehurst as a contactor, one individual said the facility has been closed since the start of the pandemic but also declined to reveal if employees have continued working remotely.
According to the Town of Orangeville, Pinehurst employs 95 people.
The facility is listed for sale for nearly $15 million.
Pinehurst manufactures premium quality store fixtures and architectural millwork; it arrived in Orangeville in 2011.
