Two youths have been arrested after allegedly shooting at people with a paintball gun at the Orangeville skate park.
At around 5 p.m. on Monday (July 8), police say a group of youths got into a dispute over property that was allegedly taken from another youth’s backpack.
According to police, four youths left, then returned three hours later with a paintball gun. They allegedly started shooting at people in the park from a vehicle.
The vehicle fled the area before officers arrived. No one was injured.
The next day, police arrested two youths and charged them with assault with a weapon.
Their identities are protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. They will appear in court next month.
