On April 13th, shortly after 1 30 in the morning, Caledon OPP and emergency crews responded to a single-vehicle collision on Bramalea Road, near Boston Mills Road. Three occupants were in the vehicle. One passenger, a 21-year-old from Brampton, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Another passenger, a 20-year-old from Brampton, was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre with serious, life-threatening injuries. The driver, a 23 year old from Brampton was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and was later arrested and charged with Impaired operation causing death. Bramalea Road between King Street and Boston Mills Road was closed for several hours while the OPP Technical Collision Investigators and Reconstructionists assisted with the investigation.
