A Caledon resident along with four people from Brampton have been charged following a string of butter thefts in Waterloo region. The heists resulted in losses of more than $8,000 from various grocery stores.
Police in the Waterloo Region say they have investigated 15 butter thefts at grocery stores in Kitchener, Cambridge and Waterloo between September and February.
Following an investigation, the slippery thieves, three men and one woman from Brampton, aged between 24 and 38 along with a 29-year-old from Caledon, were charged with several crimes including theft under $5,000.
