On April 1st just before 11 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle on The Gore Road for traveling 175 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone. A few hours later on April 2, just after 3:00 a.m., a vehicle on Hwy 10 in a 50 km/h Community Safety Zone was stopped for traveling at 110 km/h. Both drivers (a 19-year-old of Caledon and a 26-year-old of Peterborough) were charged with stunt driving and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Caledon East at a later date to answer to their charge. Both also received an immediate 30-day licence suspension and the vehicles were impounded for a period or 14 days.
