The following are updates about the situation in Mono following the ice storm.
Parks, Trails, and Tracts Are Closed due to downed trees and trees and tree limbs continuing to fall, parks, trails, and tracts are closed until further notice. Power has been restored to many suburban areas however, there are still many in rural areas without power. Hydro One crews are working as safely and quickly as possible to restore power. If you are using a generator, make sure it is away from your house. The exhaust needs to be directed away from the house, air intakes (furnace, gas hot water heater intakes, etc.), and windows. The exhaust contains carbon monoxide, a dangerous and odourless gas.
