The RCMP and the CBSA have made four arrests in Mississauga after foiling attempts to smuggle Ketamine, a dangerous anesthetic, from coming into Canada.
Between February 18th and March 3rd, four separate individuals landed at Pearson Airport, all arriving from Europe. Baggage examinations by border services officers uncovered 154 kilograms of suspected Ketamine concealed inside the travelers’ luggage, with an estimated street value of over 4 ½ million dollars
CBSA seized the Ketamine and arrested the travelers. Among the four people arrested was a 63-year-old woman from Caledon.
All accused have been released and are expected to appear at the Brampton Courthouse on March 26 and April 9th.
