On Saturday March 15th, members of the Dufferin Detachment of the OPP co-hosted with members of the Orangeville Fire Department, a charity hockey event located at Alder Street Recreation Centre in Orangeville. The second Annual Charity Hockey game was a huge success with $12,000.00 being raised. All proceeds from this event will be split between the Orangeville Foodbank and Dufferin Child and Family Services.
Though Dufferin OPP won the game 7-6 in a close nail-biting finish, everyone involved is feeling victorious because that the event was so successful. They would like to thank all the community members in attendance that brought such an electric atmosphere cheering on our emergency services and helping us bring awareness and support to two of our community partners.
