The Menace look to jump to a three game lead in their first round series against the Burlington Cougars tonight.
In game one, the Menace beat the Cougars 7-1. They carried their offence into game two, taking it with a 6-1 win.
This is the second year in a row that Milton and Burlington are squaring off in the first round of the OJHL playoffs. Last year, the Menace beat the Cougars in five games.
Coming into the series, the Menace finished the season in 3rd place in the OJHL West Conference. Their record of 36-15-1-4 over 56 games gives them 77 points on the season.
As for the Cougars, they were 6th in the OJHL West Conference. They finished with a record of 31-20-3-2 over 56 games, giving them 67 points on the season.
Leading the way for Milton is a trio of players with three goals: Luke Johnston, Madden MacDougall, and Ivan Fabjan. Johnston is the only one tied for the team lead in points, joining Justin Dezoete and Captain Graeme MacAuley.
Game three takes place at the Milton Memorial Arena on Wednesday, March 12th. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
