The Milton Menace continued their red hot start to the OJHL playoffs on Monday night.
Game two of their first round series against the Burlington Cougars was at the Central Arena. The first period was uneventful when it came to scoring, but Milton managed to outshoot the Cougars 14-10. It was tied 0-0 after the opening frame.
In the second period, thanks to the man advantage, Marcus Tryfon got the boys on the board first with his first of the postseason, assisted by Tristan Tremble and Captain Graeme MacAuley. Gavin Sheehan would quickly follow that up with an unassisted goal of his own. The Cougars would get one back just after the halfway mark, but it took 12 seconds for the Menace to erase it. Cole Semeniuk netted his first of the playoffs, assisted by Nathan Catalano and Ryder Cali. Less than a minute later, Ivan Fabjan would get his third, assisted by MacAuley and Madden MacDougall. The Menace led 4-1 after two periods of play.
Burlington would fail to get back in the game thanks to a slew of penalties. MacDougall and Luke Johnston would end up trading a pair of goals with less than four minutes to go. Milton would end up with the 6-1 win, taking the 2-0 series lead.
Carter Bickle was in net for the Menace. He stopped 27 of 28 shots, giving him the .964% save percentage and the win.
