A shelf at the Food Bank (2019)
The Orangeville Food Bank is launching its annual Springalicious Food Drive!
This April, residents are encouraged to drop off food to support local families in need. The goal this year is 55,000lbs of donations!
As part of the campaign, volunteers will be stationed at Zehrs, Sobeys, Metro, Fresh Co., and No Frills in town on Saturday, April 12th from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
“This initiative is a vital part of ensuring food security for those in our community,” says Carrie-Anne DeCaprio, Donor
Engagement and Outreach Manager of the Orangeville Food Drive. “With rising food costs and increasing demand, every
donation makes a difference. And honestly… We have a blast at these events with the awesome customers while they tackle
their weekly grocery adventure!”
Along with the food donations at participating grocery stores, you can also make monetary contributions or organize your own mini-food drives within workplaces, schools, and community groups.
The campaign is running from Tuesday, April 1st to Wednesday, April 30th.
