Officers from Caledon OPP have laid charges in connection with a false carjacking report.
On January 9th just after 11:30 p.m., officers responded to an alleged carjacking on Mayfield Road, east of Mississauga Road, in Caledon. The Caledon OPP Major Crime Unit was engaged to investigate.
As a result of the investigation, a 28 year old male from Georgetown and a 22 year old also from Georgetown have been charged .
Both accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on March 6th, to answer to the charges.
