Dufferin OPP have charged two local residents with multiple drug and theft-related offenses following a police investigation.
On February 14th, at about 6:30 p.m., officers responded to a theft at a grocery store on Broadway in Orangeville. The suspects had left the scene prior to police arrival. While patrolling the area, officers located the vehicle and the suspects at a nearby gas station.
When speaking with the driver, officers spotted the stolen groceries in the vehicle. Further investigation revealed a quantity of cocaine, fentanyl, and numerous break-and-enter tools.
A 34-year-old male, from Amaranth has been charged with:
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
• Possession Break In Instruments
• Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking
A 38-year-old female from Orangeville has been charged with the same offences along with
Fail to Comply with Probation Order and SHOPLIFTING
