Officers from the Caledon Detachment of the OPP have charged a driver with impaired operation as a result of a RIDE spot check.
On January 23rd, just before 1:00 a.m., a vehicle entered a RIDE spot check location on Old School Road at Heart Lake Road, in Caledon. After speaking briefly with the driver, a 50 year old male from Caledon, police issued a charge of operation while impaired and driving with liquor readily-available.
The driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven.
