A transport truck driver and the company he works for were charged yesterday after the driver used the excuse: “I was letting them know I’d be late because of the weather” – as his reason for texting while driving. The Company was also charged for not having a proper inspection. Caledon OPP says if it’s that important, pull off the road to text/call.
