Dufferin OPP are currently investigating two recent theft incidents in which copper wire has been the hot ticket item.
On December 26th, just before 8:30 a.m., Dufferin OPP responded to a Break and Enter at a property located on County Road 7 in the Town of Mono. Damage was caused by unknown suspect(s) to attain copper wire from within the walls.
On December 30th, just before 11:00a.m., Dufferin OPP responded to a Theft of local cable lines. The technician advised of an increase in these types of theft across the province.
Your Dufferin OPP are asking for your help in stopping these types of thefts that can have a negative impact on your home and your services. Please be aware of any suspicious vehicles parked along the sides of roadway late at night near cable lines in remote areas.
