The Caledon Detachment of the OPP have a person in custody following an early morning home invasion.
On January 2, 2025, shortly after 5:00 a.m., officers were dispatched to a private residence on Ann McKee Street in Caledon East for a report of a home invasion in progress. Officers attended and later arrested a suspect, who remains in police custody at this time.
The suspect was operating a black Jeep Wrangler (see attached photograph). Investigators are looking for surveillance or dashcam footage of the area on January 2, 2025, between the hours of 5:15 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. It is believed that this was a targeted incident and that there is no imminent threat to public safety.
