The Time Hortons Holiday Smile Cookie campaign was a big successful in and around Milton!
Full proceeds from each Holiday Smile Cookie sold across Canada in November were donated back to charity, with half of the proceeds supporting Tim Hortons Foundation Camps. Tim Hortons restaurants in Milton and Horny supported Big Brother Big Sisters with the other half of the proceeds.
This was the second year for the ‘Holiday’ version of the Smile Cookie campaign. Locally, it raised $41,875 in Milton and Hornby, meaning $20,937 directly supporting local programs provided by Big Brothers Big Sisters.
“We are grateful to have been selected as the charity partner for Milton and Hornby Tim Hortons locations and for the incredible support of the Holiday Smile Cookie campaign,” says Michael Treadgold, Executive Director at Big Brothers Big Sisters, Serving Grand Erie, Halton and Hamilton. “More than just a sweet treat, Holiday Smile Cookies are helping to make a real difference in our communities. Proceeds are being invested into mentoring programs, connecting young people, who need it most, with caring mentors. We’re pleased to report that 150 young people are currently supported through a Big Brothers Big Sisters’ mentoring program in Milton.”
Tim Hortons announced that $10.7 million was raised across Canada, supporting over 600 local charities and community groups.
