Construction at Georgetown’s Cedarvale Park is wrapping up!
The Town of Halton Hills says the new playground was designed to be inclusive and collaborative, featuring unique and engaging play equipment that can be enjoyed by users of all ages and abilities. It includes a variety of features such as a jungle net rope climber, rope basket saucer swing, double spring rider, supernova spinner, bee spring toy, leaf climber, sand and water area and a sensory tunnel with musical and tactile components.
“This playground will be a magnet for our kids,” says Mayor Ann Lawlor. “Climbing, stretching, exploring and having fun with their friends is all possible with this amazing equipment. I wish I was brave enough to try out the jungle net myself.”
Community input played a crucial role in shaping the design of the playground with many residents contributing their ideas and feedback.
This project was funded with an approved budget of $385,000.
Construction will be completed Saturday, November 30th. Families are invited to visit the new Cedarvale Park playground to experience the joy and benefits of inclusive play.
You can find Cedarvale Park at the southwest corner of Main Street South and Maple Avenue in Georgetown.
