The Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police, in partnership with the Salvation Army New Hope Community Church, kicks off Toys For Tots this Friday, November 22, at 1 p.m., outside of the Orangeville Walmart.
Officers will be collecting new, unwrapped toys, non-perishable food items, and gift cards in order to help those in need this holiday season. All donations collected will be distributed locally through the Salvation Army.
The campaign starts on November 22nd and runs until December 8th. Officers will be collecting donations outside of Walmart located at 95 First Street in the Town of Orangeville during the following hours:
· Fridays 5 p.m.- 8 p.m.
· Saturdays 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
· Sundays 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
The following locations are also graciously allowing new, unwrapped toys, gift cards and non-perishable food to be dropped at their establishments as well:

The 2023 Toys for Tots campaign was a huge success, thanks to the generosity of our community members. The Salvation Army New Hope Community Church was able to provide over 400 families in the area with assistance.
· This year has seen an increase of our food bank services by 10% over 2023
· In 2023 we provided 238 families with food for Christmas and 408 families with toys
· Over 3,500 toys donated to children in Dufferin County
