Officers from Dufferin OPP have recovered a stolen vehicle using the new Automated Licence Plate Recognition (ALPR) system.
On November 9th, shortly before 3:00 p.m., an officer was in the area of First Street in Orangeville. The officer received an alert on the ALPR system advising of a stolen vehicle. Officers tried to stop the vehicle but the driver backed into a police cruiser. Thankfully there were no injuries, and the driver was arrested.
As a result, a 15-year-old male from Shelburne is facing a number of charges.
