A Milton man is the latest local lottery winner!
Paras Thakur has $285,447.40 to put toward his dreams after winning a Lotto Max second prize in the September 13rd draw.
The married father of two has been playing the lottery for about seven years. He’s excited to share the news of his first big win!
“It had been a long day, and I had just sat down on the couch to put my feet up, when I decided to check my tickets on the OLG app,” Thakur recounted while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. “When I saw that I had won, I couldn’t stop laughing. I told my wife the news and she started to cry tears of joy. We had somewhat opposite reactions, but we are incredibly grateful.”
He plans to use the money towards buying a home and giving back to the community.
The winning ticket was purchased at the Petro-Canada on Ontario Street South in Milton.
