Police have laid multiple charges in connection to an Illegal Gaming House in Richmond Hill that has been under investigation.
On September 19, (2024) York Regional Police searched a Property Development Company on West Beaver Creek Drive, where they seized a 2018 Mercedes worth $50,000, four poker tables and $53,000 in cash.
A handgun was discovered in the business, a second in one of the suspect’s vehicles.
Two Toronto residents are facing a charge of Keeping a Common Gaming House, one is also facing additional firearms charges.
16 additional individuals were charged with being Found in a Common Gaming House.
Since June of last year (2023), police have opened 14 investigations into illegal gaming houses.
163 people face a total of 210 offences, investigators have seized $14 million worth of drugs, $250,000 worth of gaming equipment and vehicles, $431,000 in cash and 7 illegal firearms.
