As a result of an ongoing police investigation, officers from the Dufferin OPP charged a duo connected to drug related offences.
On August 6th, members of the Dufferin Community Street Crime Unit executed a search warrant, as a result of their investigation they have arrested and charged a male and female from the community.
A 37-year-old male from Orangeville has been charged with:
· Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
· Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking- Cocaine
· Possession of a Schedule I substance- Cocaine
A 36-year-old female from Orangeville has been charged with:
· Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Cocaine
the following was recovered:
· 30.7 grams of Cocaine
· Canadian Currency
· 2 Scales
· 2 Cellphones
The accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville, to answer to the charges.
