Residents and commuters in Orangeville should prepare for significant traffic changes on Broadway beginning September 9th.
The Avalon’s private sector contractor will initiate lane closures that are expected to last approximately four weeks, weather permitting.
During this period, both eastbound and westbound traffic on Broadway will be reduced to one lane each.
The lane closures will begin just west of Tim Horton’s, with westbound traffic being rerouted around vehicles turning left into the popular coffee spot.
Additionally, left turns from westbound Broadway onto Diane Drive will be restricted for the duration of the construction.
The closures will extend slightly west of 328 Broadway, but it’s important to note that the Orange route stop #15, located at Diane Drive and Broadway, will remain in service throughout the construction period.
Commuters should anticipate some delays in the area and are encouraged to plan accordingly.
