The Milton Public Library (MPL) is updating its Public Code of Conduct policy.
Starting on Tuesday, August 6th, patrons will be able to consume drinks and snacks in most areas of the library, except at computer stations and other designated areas such as Silent Study rooms. However, to maintain cleanliness, meals (e.g., burgers, fries, pizza, etc.) will not be permitted. All patrons are asked to be considerate of others and clean up after themselves by placing all trash in receptacles provided.
Members of the public are also required to wear appropriate attire including shirts and shoes. Use of any sports equipment is also prohibited in the Library.
In consideration of other patrons who may have allergies or sensitivities, the Library requests you to refrain from wearing strong perfumes and body scents while in the buildings.
Photographing, filming, or video recording of library staff and users without prior written approval is prohibited. Additionally, commercial filming and photography require prior approval from the CEO, Sarah Douglas-Murray.
