Highway 401 Eastbound in Milton was backed up this morning after a transport truck crashed near James Snow Parkway.
The truck was carrying live chickens. The driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries. No word on if the chickens are okay, but a later update noted that animal welfare was on site.
As of roughly 8:30 a.m. this morning, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Highway Safety Division says the HOV and left lane remain closed.
