United Way Halton & Hamilton (UWHH) is celebrating another record breaking year!
They’ve released their 2023-2024 Impact Report, which highlights their community impact and support.
This year’s theme has been ‘United in ACTION’, which UWHH says encapsulates their collective commitment to making a difference through tangible actions and dedicated efforts.
It was a historic year for the organization and the community, as they’ve gathered $12.5 million. That’s the most ever raised for the community’s critical programs and initiatives.
Some of the results include:
- 220,568+ Individuals and Families Supported
- 117 Programs delivered to the community through 61 Agency Partners: Community members
received the critical support they needed. - 92,198 Children and Youth: Accessed basic needs and empowerment programs.
- 48,747 Seniors: Improved their wellness and sense of belonging.
- 45,598 Women: Overcame systemic barriers to inclusion and prosperity.
- $969,128 In-Kind Donations: Distributed from the Community Donation Warehouse to community
agencies. - 1,763+ Volunteers: Mobilized to support initiatives and drive community impact.
