The newest position is for Camp Counsellor, Inclusion.
What exactly is an Inclusion Counsellor?
This role provides support to camp participants with exceptionalities, ensuring they get to enjoy the program and participate to the fullest, as well as a focus on safety, adapting programming, and more.
This full-time contract runs from July 1st to August 30th, and includes several mandatory training dates in June.
Duties include:
• Facilitating daily activities and providing one-to-one or small group support to a campers with an exceptionality in the program in a safe and enjoyable manner; and providing instruction and direction to campers with exceptionalities and adapting programming for campers as required
• Accompanying campers to various locations safely; implementing strategies according to the intake process to set campers up for success, and ensuring the dignity and respect of the camper in their care at all times.
