On January 1st,
The Professional Women’s Hockey League premiered with its first regular season game with Toronto hosting Minnesota.
The next day, the Ottawa franchise played its first game,
featuring Caledon natives Zoe Boyd and Kristin Della Rovere.
Both women were captains of their respective teams in their final NCAA seasons.
On Saturday, February 17th, the Town of Caledon is celebrating Zoe and Kristin by holding a Hometown Party at the Caledon East Community Centre!
Residents are invited to join in the celebration from 1-4 p.m., including:
- Free refreshments;
- Watching Zoe and Kristin in action on TV as PWHL Ottawa takes on PHWL Minnesota; and
- A public free skate from 3-3:50 p.m.
The Hometown Party begins at 1 p.m. outside of ice pad #1 at the CECC.
Celebrate your fellow Caledonians as they make history playing in the PWHL.
