A traffic stop in Richmond Hill has resulted in charges against a Caledon resident.
York Regional Police arrested a Caledon man who is on federal parole for drug trafficking offenses following a traffic stop on, December 1.
The officer on patrol determined the driver had provided a fake name, he was failing to comply with his federal parole and had cannabis readily available.
As a result, the vehicle was searched.
Police located more than two hundred grams of suspected cocaine packaged for sale, a quantity of pills suspected to be fentanyl, more than 800 grams of illicit cannabis, approximately
$5,000 in Canadian currency, three cell phones and several bottles of alcohol.
The street value of the drugs is estimated to be more than $30,000.
The 34 year old man is facing multiple Possession and Distribution charges.
He is currently being held in custody as his statutory release was revoked.
