The Hill Academy celebrated National Signing Day with 5 local commitments to NCAA schools from the Hill Lacrosse and Hill Hockey programs.
National Signing Day opened on November 8th for all NCAA sports other than Football and Basketball, where over 48,000 student-athletes will sign a National Letter of Intent (NLI).
“It’s so special to see these student-athletes reach their next highest level of achievement” said Riley Thompson, Coach and Player Development Program Coordinator at The Hill Academy.
“I applaud their dedication over the years to get to today, and it’s even more special that each of them had their families here to celebrate their accomplishments. The job isn’t done though, they’ve put in a lot of hard work to sign up for more hard work. I can’t wait to see where this takes them.”
Local Orangeville commitments include:
Marcelo Carreiro, Mount St. Mary’s University
Cade Cordingley, Hobart College
Dacia Cordingley, University of Massachusetts
Holton Marshall, Walsh University
Tye Tovell, Walsh University
Throughout the years, The Hill Academy has had over 150 student-athletes receive NCAA scholarships.
