OPP have released the results of their long weekend road safety campaign.
Speeding was the most prevalent traffic violation during Operation Impact over the Thanksgiving holiday.
OPP joined their Canadian policing partners and overall 7,953 charges were laid during the national traffic enforcement initiative.
4,829 speeding charges along with 86 stunt driving and racing charges.
283 drivers were charged for not wearing a seatbelt.
There were 131 impaired charges and 60 drivers charged for being distracted.
Four people were killed in separate collisions
One person died while on the water.
