The Milton Public Library (MPL) has received a significant upgrade!
Their website has been overhauled recently. The goal is to have the changes “revolutionize” the way the community connects with the MPL and its resources.
“Our new website is designed to empower and engage our community innovatively, and it reflects our dedication to making the library a vibrant hub for learning, discovery, and collaboration,” Kanta Kapoor, Interim Chief Librarian. “We invite everyone to explore our digital library, connect with our resources, and embark on a journey of exploration and enlightenment. This website is a reflection of our mission: Read. Learn. Create. Connect. We look forward to its exciting possibilities for our community.”
What can you expect? The new site boasts a plethora of innovative features designed to offer a more engaging and user-friendly experience for library patrons. Key highlights of the website include:
- Improved Communication – Beinspired.ca will serve as a dynamic platform for improved communication between the library and its patrons. Stay up-to-date with library news, events, and announcements effortlessly. Chat with a librarian live to answer any questions. Patrons can also now text a librarian at 289-778-3621 with any inquiries.
- Enhanced User Experience – The revamped website offers a seamless and intuitive browsing experience, ensuring that patrons can easily find the information they seek, from book recommendations to program details.
- Library Card Management – Patrons can sign up for a new library card or conveniently renew their existing one through the website, streamlining the process and reducing in-person visits.
- Easy Access to Online Resources – Patrons can easily access a plethora of e-resources via the website 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. From online courses and tutoring to thousands of online books, audiobooks, magazines, newspapers and more, there’s something for everyone.
- Programs and Services – Beinspired.ca provides a user-friendly interface for program registration, making it easier than ever to explore and engage in the library’s diverse offerings.
The Milton Public Library is asking for feedback from users. Patrons will have the opportunity to participate in a survey to share their experiences and thoughts on the new website features and usability. As an incentive, participants will be entered into a draw for a chance to win a pair of tickets to the highly anticipated “One Book, One Milton” event featuring Sarah Polley and hosted by Eleanor Wachtel on Thursday, October 26th at 7:00 p.m. at the FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton.
