A golf tournament is being held next month to raise money for a local hospital program!
Team Garber’s Charity Golf Tournament is getting ready for its second year. They are collecting money for the CAPIS program at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital and the Milton Clinic. Halton Healthcare describes the inpatient services as:
Child and adolescent inpatient services provides assessment, stabilization and treatment within a secure setting for children and youth, up to the age 17 years, experiencing acute mental health symptoms and who require safety and intensity of a hospital admission. Patients are assessed for admission through the Emergency Department.
Mitch Garber is one of the organizers for this charity golf tournament. He says they just want to help out as much as possible.

Last year, Team Garber’s Charity Golf Tournament raised more than $10,000 for ROCK (Reach Out Centre for Kids). The group likes to spread their love around Halton, so that is why they’ve decided to raise funds for a different charity this year. It’s likely next year will be a new charity as well.
Garber says they went all out this year, with all kinds of prizes and giveaways for attendees.
The charity golf tournament is set for Saturday, July 29th at Granite Ridge Golf Club at 9503 Dublin Line in Milton. It will have a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m. and with the following dinner, is expected to wrap up by 9:00 p.m.
