A local restaurant chain has donated money to the Milton Fire Department!
Milton Fire and Rescue Services received a $18,067.57 grant from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada to purchase new air lifting bags to aid in rescue operations.
The Paratech air bag lifting system will include a master control kit, bags, hoses and accessories. This lifting tool is necessary for situations when firefighters need to lift heavy objects to remove victims who are trapped from an accident.
“We are extremely grateful to Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada and our local Firehouse Subs in Milton for providing us with this grant,” says Milton Fire Chief Peter Gatto. “We are so grateful to be given the tools needed to continue to keep the citizens of Milton safe and protected.”
Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada has awarded 306 grants to public safety organizations since 2015. The grant awarded to Milton Fire and Rescue Services is one of 22 grants awarded to public safety organizations during Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada’s most recent grant cycle. The 22 grants will provide critical lifesaving equipment valued at more than $518,000 across Ontario.
